EU preparedness: analysis, planning, reporting and training programmes for health specialists
This workshop is part of the project “EU preparedness: analysis, planning, reporting and training programmes for health specialists” which will design and implement a comprehensive EU preparedness training programme to provide each member state (MS) with the basis to build its capacities to respond to future emergencies.
The training programme will support MS
- to build knowledge and skills for more resilient emergency management;
- to sharpen methods and tools for needs assessment; and
- to strenghten communication and coordination within and between MS.
This programme will be complementary to existing training programmes developed and managed by ECDC and member states.
This Training Need Assessment (TNA) Workshop will be the first in a series of six workshops organised over the course of three years.
The workshop aims at identifying key areas for national training curricula and discussing TNA framework as a basis to develop and align a European Union preparedness training programme that is both generic for an EU-wide approach and specific to strengthen national-tailored capacity building activities responding to different levels of capabilities that may exist across countries.
The overall vision is to respond better to future public health emergencies within and across countries.
