About the course
This training course is designed to guide participants through the development and review of harmonised prevention, preparedness and response (PPR) policies, ensuring alignment across sectors and borders. With a strong focus on leadership in multidisciplinary and multi-level coordination, the course equips participants to spearhead cross-border emergency preparedness initiatives. Participants will gain the skills to identify needs, prioritise actions, and assess emergency preparedness policies and plans for effective and evidence-based decision-making, ultimately enhancing national and regional preparedness efforts.
The two-day programme features interactive sessions and case studies that delve into policy design and development, leadership strategies for effective PPR coordination, and integrating research and evidence into PPR planning. These topics are explored through practical exercises, real-world examples, and scenarios involving a variety of hazards. The highly interactive format ensures participants are actively engaged throughout the course.
